This issue will be discussed on the occasion of the evening event on June 5, 2019 in Wiesbaden, Germany, starting at 6:00pm, which the Process Fellows and Kegon AG will be organizing as part of an ASQF® SIG (special interest group) meeting, a meeting that takes place regularly on different topics. The ASQF® is a competence network for software quality in the German-speaking area.
Agile practices are increasingly used in the automotive industry as well. However, as soon as the use of agile processes leaves the experimental stage and they should also be used in large, technically complex projects, the question arises of how to meet the requirements of Automotive SPICE®. Simply mapping agile processes, roles, and artifacts to the requirements of Automotive SPICE® will not meet the challenge of creating a modern and agile work environment. The "Scaled Agile Framework" (SAFe) provides a methodology kit for large and complex tasks. In particular, SAFe can add considerable value to the acceleration and flexibility of software development, without getting into irreconcilable contradictions with Automotive SPICE®. Process challenges such as "Continuous Integration" (CI), "Test Driven Development" (TDD), "Test Automation" and "Release on Demand" are directly addressed by SAFe and also meet many requirements of the Automotive SPICE® process evaluation model. In the evening event we discuss agile project management approaches with SAFe. In addition, the SAFe concept "Built-In Quality" is addressed, which serves to comply with quality standards. From the practical work, various solution patterns can be outlined, which are promising starting points for the adaptation of agile processes in an automotive environment and also sufficiently consider Automotive SPICE®.
Speakers:
Dr. Michael Diefenbach, Kegon AG
Dr. Yvonne Görlitz, Kegon AG
Bernhard Sechser, Process Fellows GmbH
Dr. Holger Höhn, Process Fellows GmbH
