Process Fellow goes JAPAN - "Alternation of Generations – How Our Way of Development Will Change With SPICE"
PROCESS FELLOWS consultant Timo Karasch went to Japan last month to hold a keynote at the NSPICE Conference in Nagoya.
In his keynote Timo Karasch mentioned that intacs™ is working on new variants of SPICE, like Mechanical or Hardware SPICE in its working groups. After years, where requirements of Automotive SPICE® were “enough”, and companies were struggling with customer’s expectations, the business goals are rising again. “SPICE compliance” is now addressing not only the software development. But why?
Is intacs™ only filling a gap identified by Automotive SPICE ® 3.0 by its plugin principle? Will Mechanical and Hardware SPICE ever become as famous as Automotive SPICE®? Is it reasonable to use the new standards, before customers are asking for compliance?
The PROCESS FELLOWS' speech did more than just answering those questions. It’s about the alternation of generations in development and it shows that intacs™’ new SPICE variants are more than just additional PAMs – it’s the starting point of a new kind of development for many companies!
