ISO/IEC 33061 Process Expert

The ISO/IEC TS 33061 describes a process capability model aimed at systematically improving the quality of development processes for software-based systems. The assessment of process capability is based on ISO/IEC 33020 and is categorized into six capability levels.
In this training, you will learn how to interpret the relevant processes of ISO/IEC TS 33061, which are essential both for conducting assessments and for effectively implementing process improvements in system and software engineering. This training also serves as a preparation course for the intacs® Certified ISO/IEC 33061 Process Expert exam.

The trainer conducts the course flexibly within the available time frame, addressing the specific needs and requirements of the participants. The sessions are designed to be engaging, with exercises and a variety of examples and experiences shared by the trainer.
 
Target Audience
  • Individuals planning to become certified assessors (Note: Certification as an intacs® Certified ISO/IEC 33061 Process Expert is a prerequisite to proceed to the next step as an intacs® Certified ISO/IEC 33061 Provisional Assessor. Alternatively, both trainings/ certifications can be completed in a combined course.)
  • Quality and project team members who want to ensure that development process quality meets company or customer requirements
  • Process owners and members of process improvement teams who want to ensure that improvement opportunities in development processes are identified and implemented within the organization's process landscape
 
Prerequisites
  • Participants should have several years of professional experience in development (e.g., software/system development, project management, quality management, or similar).
 
Certification
  • Exam fees apply for participation in the certification exam
  • The exam is conducted by ECQA. Further details can be found on ECQA website.  
  • After passing the exam, participants must actively apply for their certification through ECQA. This additional step is performed independently of the training.
  • Applicable fees for the exam and certification are published here. 
 
Additional Information
  • The training is delivered exclusively by experienced Principal Assessors, who are also certified instructors with extensive experience conducting assessments according to ISO/IEC TS 33061.
  • Course materials are available in English
  • Each participant receives course materials and a certificate of attendance
  • For online sessions, the materials are provided digitally
