The standard path to becoming an intacs® Certified ISO/IEC 33061 Provisional Assessor is through the intacs® Certified ISO/IEC 33061 Process Expert training. In this first part of the training, foundational knowledge is provided: ISO/IEC TS 33061 describes a process capability model aimed at systematically improving the quality of development processes for software-based systems. Capability levels are assessed based on ISO/IEC 33020 and classified into six levels.
The focus is on interpreting the key processes of ISO/IEC TS 33061, which are essential for conducting assessments and implementing process improvements in system and software engineering. In the second part of the training, participants complete the intacs® Certified ISO/IEC 33061 Provisional Assessor training, which provides practical knowledge and guidance to support a certified Competent Assessor as a Co-Assessor in assessments within their own company or at suppliers, and to optimize processes based on assessment results. The goal of this combined training is to complete both parts in a single course, allowing participants to achieve the Provisional Assessor certification more quickly. The requirements for both certifications remain the same; therefore, participants receive homework assignments in addition to attending both training sessions, which must be presented in the second part of the training.
